TrainGuard Project

Aurizon's TrainGuard Project involves implementation of ETCS L2 as an overlay to the existing safe system of work.  The ETCS technology will control overspeed events and movement authorities for Aurizon fitted electric locomotives.

Whilst working for Aurizon, Alison worked as the TrainGuard Commercial Manager and Operational Development Project Manager.  These roles encompassed management of all commercial aspects of the relationship with the supplier as well as the relationship with the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator and development of strategy for future commercialization and deployment of the technology.

In addition to negotiating the agreement with the Supplier in 2016 and managing day to day commercial issues, claims and variations throughout the life of the project, Alison also successfully ran a large expert determination for Aurizon resulting in a successful outcome for the business.
